Helping Hands Foundation (HHF) is a Jharkhand-based not-for-profit organization passionately dedicated to the welfare, social rehabilitation, and health equity of senior citizens. Rooted in compassion and driven by purpose, we work tirelessly to ensure that every elder lives with dignity, care, and a sense of belonging.

With a strong track record of impactful initiatives, HHF has successfully implemented projects such as NIRVANAS; round-the-year food distribution camps across multiple centres; health camps; geriatric awareness programs; and vibrant community engagement initiatives. Our work is defined by deep grassroots connect, unwavering transparency, and strong on-ground implementation.

Our ongoing NIRVANA-1, a 50-bedded Shelter Home in Adityapur, along with year-round food distribution drives at various locations, has already touched and transformed over 400 lives. Building on this momentum, we expanded our impact through NIRVANA-2—a 20-bedded PHC-based Elder Care Unit for destitute and needy elders in Dumaria Block, East Singhbhum—in collaboration with government bodies and private stakeholders.

Founded in 2017, Helping Hands Foundation stands as a living expression of our guiding belief: “Helping Hands are Better than Praying Lips.” This philosophy fuels every initiative we undertake. With compassion at our core, we strive to build an inclusive society where care, dignity, and empowerment are not privileges, but rights—accessible to all, especially the most vulnerable.

OUR JOURNEY

Helping Hands Foundation (HHF) was officially registered in January 2018, marking the beginning of a purposeful and transformative journey dedicated to social empowerment and inclusive development. Since its inception, HHF has steadily grown with integrity, compassion, and professionalism, achieving several significant milestones that reflect its unwavering commitment to community welfare and excellence.

Through sustained and strategic efforts, HHF has successfully secured a range of prestigious certifications and registrations, strengthening its credibility and institutional capacity. These include 12A & 80G Certification under the Income Tax Act, enabling tax benefits for donors; CSR-1 Registration, allowing partnerships with Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives; recognition under NITI Aayog & NGO Darpan of the Government of India; listing on e-Anudaan for eligibility to government grants; and ISO 9001:2015 Certification for robust Quality Management Systems.

HHF works in close collaboration with the our District Administration, Health Department, Samrat Cinematics, Hospitals, M/s Headstart Management and several Skill Development Centers across Jharkhand. These partnerships have significantly strengthened our outreach and effectiveness, enabling us to deliver meaningful and sustainable services to destitute senior citizens as well as underprivileged youth.

Today, Helping Hands Foundation stands recognized as one of the most reliable and trusted NGOs in Jharkhand, with a strategic focus on the dignity, care, and well-being of senior citizens, alongside youth empowerment—particularly women from SC, ST, OBC, and EWS backgrounds. Guided by empathy and driven by impact, HHF continues to work towards building a more inclusive, empowered, and compassionate society.
